During the chaos of WW1 the crown created MI13, and hid this organisation within the military establishment with the collusion of some very senior ranks with absolute loyalty to the monarchy. With the world becoming more global the remit was expanded to include international threats, e.g. nuclear destruction. In Eyes of Azrael, a plot is discovered that would provide a middle eastern country with nuclear weapon technology, and this must be stopped at all costs. Agent Azrael is activated. The novel follows Jane Lucas who is Sanguis Regalis last resort and top agent, and is viewed as highly capable, dangerous and ruthless. In ‘Eyes of Azrael’, her mission is to capture, at all costs, a cargo of weapon grade laser rubies and nuclear weapon triggers, in transit between North Korea and Iran, via the UK to confound MI6 and the CIA. Jane recruits the team she needs without drawing attention to herself and must leave no trace.
